Design Sensitivity.
Etheria Lighting was founded in Boulder, Colorado by mechanical engineer Daniel Roth. A passion for indirect light and refined design led to a simple question: why should track lighting interrupt the architecture it is meant to illuminate?
A quieter answer to architectural lighting
Indirect lighting brings a rare kind of beauty to an interior: the room feels quietly full of light, while its source remains out of sight. Designers often pursue this effect so material, artwork and volume—not visible hardware—hold the attention.
Linear LED lighting can create a beautiful wash of indirect, glowing light, but it does not easily aim or accentuate the artwork, furnishings and architectural details that give a space its character. Etheria brings the precise functionality of track lighting into that quieter language, concealing the luminaire while allowing controlled light to land exactly where it is needed.
Function and form, combined beautifully
As the AuraShroud form evolved, Daniel saw that its decorative panel could become a key design feature—customized to suit the space rather than merely concealing the fixture. He also found that the textured acrylic lens, which conceals the luminaire while allowing light to pass, can be paired with a linear LED strip to glow like a softly luminous jewel. When combined, the AuraShroud becomes both a functional concealer and a beautiful complement to the interior design.
